In the episode titled The One With The List in season 2, Monica heads for employment interview.
During the grilling she reveals to her prospective boss that she is allergic to cats.
This in and of itself wouldn’t be so strange if not for the very fact that within the previous episode, The One Where Ross Finds Out, it’s revealed that Monica and her brother Ross (David Schwimmer) grew up with a cat.
The name? Fluffy Meowington.

Fans took to Reddit in confusion, baffled by the very fact someone with a cat allergy would need to endure one as a childhood pet.
User ChanglerBong311 wrote: “In season 2 episode 8 Monica says she’s allergic to cat hair when she’s offered a ‘Fishstashio’ at the top.
“But we all know that she had a cat named Fluffy Meowington from the episode right before this one when Ross was getting to get a cat with Julie.”
