Daisy Ridley has revealed how she felt watching “upsetting” scenes of herself with Carrie Fisher in Star Wars: the increase Of Skywalker.
The film brings to an end the Skywalker saga and uses footage of the actress, who died in 2016, as General Leia Organa which was shot during previous instalment The Force Awakens.
Ridley told the PA news agency: “There is one scene that I still find upsetting.
“I’ve now seen the film 3 times, because last night I wanted to be with my family and watch it, therefore the one scene where I’m saying goodbye to her before we explode on our adventure, that was really hard to film because I knew what you were seeing and also all of the implications of what meaning within the film, so it’s still hard watching that.
“The others you're taking a step back so it feels a touch more removed, but it’s still strange.”
Discussing how it felt to wrap the ultimate film within the trilogy, she said: “It was so emotional at the top.
“It’s everyone on set and every one of the cast but also my driver Lee, who was the primary person and therefore the last person to ascertain me a day for seven months, then Flora, my hair and structure artist, who was subsequent person, and Callie, my costumier, who was subsequent.
“So it had been numerous people within that circle who also are your emotional support on set also, and that they were all here last night so it’s tons to process.
“Also it had been six years, it’s getting to take a short time, especially because I’m 27.
“So six years out of that's quite big amount of your time and also early 20s is such a weird time anyway, I just desire I’m really finding my feet and I’m like ‘Oh ok it’s over. Bye Rey’.
“I just feel proud of what I did, please come back!”
